The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC“) is a federal agency that enforces employee civil rights in matters of workplace discrimination.

As a federal agency, the EEOC employs individuals who are charged with the responsibility of investigating allegations of workplace discrimination. This is a very helpful medium for employees who have experienced discrimination. The EEOC issues “right to sue” letters on behalf of charging parties. The Right to Sue is required in order to have standing to bring suit in Missouri or U.S. Courts.

The EEOC hears complaints based on an individual’s race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability, gender identity, genetic information, and retaliation for reporting and/or opposing a discriminatory practice.

We are experienced in matters that fall within the jurisdiction of the EEOC. We have relationships with many EEOC employees and investigators, so we can help navigate you through complex EEOC procedures, and guide you to a favorable result before courtroom litigation is required.
